Deep Bleaching
In this low-cost whitening option, whitening trays are constructed by your Dentist and a Bleaching Gel is provided. The trays containing the gel are worn for around one hour per day (or overnight), and the teeth gradually and gently whiten to the desired shade.  This process usually takes from 14 to 20 applications, but can take longer for grey or tetracycline-stained teeth.  A review appointment is made to check the result after about 3 weeks.
This procedure is a fast solution for whitening your teeth, and uses stronger whitening chemicals, requiring careful protection of the lips and gums.  The chemicals are activated with a plasma light and the whole process takes just over an hour.  Although this is a quick solution, the results may in some cases not be as long lasting as those produced with home whitening, and topping up procedures may be required.
The Enlighten Whitening system employs the "deep bleaching protocol" and involves the use of a home whitening component, followed by a power bleaching session. The trays used for the gels are specially designed and manufactured for you and seal in the chemicals, enabling a more dramatic and lasting result.
(Very resistant discolourations may take longer to treat.)
